Taylor Swift has constructed her Eras Tour as one of accuracy, endurance, and emotional attachment but beyond the perfect shows was a dose of physical roughness that fans hardly noticed. During her The End of an Era docuseries, Swift at last discusses a backstage accident that caused her to bleed and limp only moments before her next appearance onstage.

Still, Swift didn’t let the painful mishap prevent her from heading back to the stage just in time for the next song to begin. Although the moment went unnoticed on stage, Swifties did notice it a few days later.

How Taylor Swift pushed through injury and chaos without missing a beat

In Episode 3 of The End of an Era docuseries, Swift recalls tripping while racing backstage between eras. “I remember one time I was running from the ‘Evermore’ era. I trip over the hem of my dress, bust my knee, I skid the palm of my hand off, hobble into the quick change room.”

She continued, “Blood’s coming down my hand, I’m changing into the ‘Reputation’ bodysuit, the skin that’s flapping off I just pull it off, more blood. They don’t have a Band-Aid back there. (I) wasn’t late for the intro of that song.”

She further added that although fans didn’t notice her bruise on stage, they later found out a few days later.
