One of the strongest trends to emerge this year has easily been dramatic draping. Beginning with the Spring 2025 shows, draping began popping up everywhere, from the soft, cascading pleats at Alaïa to the flowy dresses and bubble skirts at Toteme. Of course,

Jennifer Lopez is always one to keep her finger on the pulse of fashion, so it was no surprise to see her sustaining the trend as she hit the red carpet at The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women in Entertainment Gala in Beverly Hills, California, on Wednesday night.

For the event, Lopez wore an earthy look styled by her go-to outfit alchemists: Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. Her ensemble consisted of a mocha-colored skirt suit from Harithand, which featured a slouchy blazer paired with a matching midi pencil skirt.

With most blazers, you would expect a sharp bottom hem, but J.Lo’s was actually rounded, with one side of the jacket looping into the other like a sartorial infinity sign (fittingly enough, the suit was actually called the Infinity set).

The magic of the top was that it was hard to tell where the blazer began and where it ended

The surreal piece featured pockets in the front and long peak lapels, with slightly pointy shoulders adding some width and angularity to the silhouette. Meanwhile, to match her brown-hued look, Lopez wore a pair of camel-colored heels, and even her bronde hair—which hung down in soft waves—coordinated well with the overall color scheme.

For a few final touches, the “Can’t Get Enough” singer sported a couple of golden chokers, along with diamond huggie earrings from Hearts on Fire and cat-eye sunglasses. She also carried a snakeskin clutch in chocolate brown from Tyler Ellis.
