Jennifer Lopez kicked off her Las Vegas concert tour last night, and last night she gave the first performance of a series that included,

among other things, jokes about herself and responding to criticism of her outfit.

The singer’s Broadway-themed performance included songs like “Let Me Entertain You” from the musical Gypsy, “Waiting for Tonight” from 1999,

A collaboration with Mambo from West Side Story and a jazz version of the hit “Jenny From the Block” and most recently “Do It Well” from 2007.

However, a moment from last night’s performance caused a stir on social media when she addressed criticism of her clothing style and said: “If you had this backside, you would go out naked too.”

Considering she previously had a residence in Las Vegas 10 years ago, she remembered herself then.

“This went by in the blink of an eye, didn’t it? For those of you who were here at the opening 10 years ago. And you know, at that time I had only been married twice,” she said, which opened the audience’s eyes and rewarded her with a standing ovation

Then she added: “It only happened once. It felt like it happened twice,” at which point the audience started laughing again, and she added that she was just joking.

The artist’s Las Vegas concerts will include a total of 12 shows in the period from the end of December 2025 to the end of March 2026
