Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz may soon unite for what insiders describe as a major, career-defining project.

According to sources, the longtime friends who first bonded in the ’90s and later worked together on the 2012 ensemble film What to Expect When You’re Expecting are now in active discussions about teaming up again.

Following Lopez’s recent Golden Globes snub, Diaz, 53, is reportedly stepping in with support and encouragement, pushing for the pair to launch a new venture.

“J.Lo has a special relationship with Diaz going back to the ’90s,” one insider shared to RadarOnline “Now they’re having real discussions about making something else together after the unexpectedly positive experience they had on What to

Expect When You’re Expecting more than 10 years ago.” The actresses praised their 2012 rom-com during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and have maintained their friendship ever since, sources said.

Sources close to the actresses say they’re inspired by the massive success of The Morning Show, the award-winning Apple TV+ drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.

“Why can’t they be the next Jennifer and Reese?” an insider explained. “They both have mastered the streaming space, but teaming up is a force multiplier that fulfills a promise they made to audiences in the ’90s when they both broke out right at the same time. They see it as a duty, to their fans and to themselves.”
