Jennifer Lopez has spent the past year restructuring her personal world — but according to insiders, one of the most unexpected changes has been rebuilding a once-distant relationship with her older sister, Lynda Lopez.

Sources tell Daily Mail that J.Lo “leaned heavily on family” after her split from Ben Affleck, but it was Lynda who became a grounding force.
The sisters — who have always publicly supported each other but reportedly hit a rocky patch during the chaos of 2023–2024 — have been “closer than ever” these last few months.

“Jennifer realized she needed people around her who knew her before the fame, before the pressure,” a family friend shared. “She and Lynda had tough periods, but this year they’ve healed more than ever.”

The turning point came in late summer, when Lynda spent several weekends helping Jennifer organize her new Hidden Hills renovation plans.
They were photographed entering a décor studio in Calabasas, laughing, arms linked — the first candid moment of warmth between them in years.

Friends say the reunion has given Lopez “emotional oxygen” during a period when she’s questioning everything from her career direction to her future in relationships.

“She’s not the same person she was last year,” the insider added. “She’s softer now. More reflective. And Lynda is a big reason for that.”
