The bronze statue of Ronaldo was set on fire.

When mentioning Ronaldo, one cannot ignore the fact that a bronze statue, over 2 meters tall and weighing 800 kg, was erected on the island of Madeira in December 2014, after CR7 and Real Madrid won the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco. The bronze statue is modeled after Ronaldo’s familiar free-kick pose. Below the statue is engraved Cristiano Ronaldo’s full name, as well as his initials, CR7. Furthermore, the statue is located directly in front of the CR7 museum of the striker, who currently plays for Al Nassr in the Saudi Arabian Pro League.

However, a shocking incident recently occurred when an unknown assailant set fire to the bronze statue. Remarkably, the entire act was filmed by the vandal and publicly posted on social media. The clip shows the vandal pouring gasoline on the statue and then using a lighter to ignite it. The flames quickly engulfed a large part of the statue. Not stopping there, while the fire was still burning, the suspect even danced wildly to the rap music blaring from the speaker he was carrying.

But that wasn’t all; the vandal also posted a shocking message: “This is God’s final warning.” Although the flames engulfed the entire statue, fortunately, they quickly died down. Local police have now identified the suspect and are actively searching for the perpetrator to apprehend him as soon as possible.
