Jill Zarin is speaking out after being fired from her role on E!’s upcoming Real Housewives of New York City reunion special, The Golden Life, which was set to bring her and her former co-stars, Ramona Singer, 62, Luann de Lesseps, 60, Sonja Morgan, 62, and Kelly Bensimon, 57, back together in Palm Beach, Florida.

Following an announcement from the production company behind the series, Blink49 Studios, the 62-year-old former Bravolebrity, who shaded Bad Bunny‘s performance at the Super Bowl Halftime show, complaining that there weren’t any white people and suggesting it was a political statement and an “ICE thing,” described her video rant as a “[mistake].”

“They didn’t even give me a chance,” Jill told In Touch Weekly on February 10. “I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I’m human.”

Meanwhile, an insider had her back, claiming that fans were upset to see Jill let go since they were excited to finally be “getting her back” on their television.

“Everyone on the Internet is up in arms because they love Jill,” the source alleged. “E! made a snap decision without even taking into account that Jill took it down right away. Jill will be back — this won’t keep her down. People love her. That will never change.”

Other insiders spoke to TMZ, stating that Jill was blindsided by her sudden exit from The Golden Life and felt that all she had done was share her opinions, and adding that other Real Housewives have done and said worse.

It was also suggested that Jill was hurt by the firing since she was leading the charge in getting the OGs of the RHONY cast back together.

As for how Jill supposedly feels now, the sources claimed that after rewatching Bad Bunny’s performance, she’s had a change of heart and now understands the cultural importance of all that was featured in the show.

Someone else told TMZ that Jill was upset that producers chose to fire her instead of using the ordeal as a teachable moment and potentially featuring a discussion about it on the show.
