At the peak of his career, former Spain international Sergio Ramos was known as a true “iron defender.” With his powerful, aggressive style of play and fearless approach to challenges, the center-back—who now plays for Mexican club Monterrey—has received 30 red cards throughout his career.

Ramos spent many years at Real Madrid, even serving as club captain for a long period. With the Madrid giants, he won 5 La Liga titles, 1 Copa del Rey, and 4 UEFA Champions League trophies.

Ramos has left fans stunned with an Instagram video showing him dancing to Taylor Swift’s hit “Shake It Off.” In the short clip—garnering more than 180,000 likes in less than 24 hours—Ramos is seen dancing alongside his wife, Pilar Rubio, and one of her female friends. The 39-year-old center-back wears a cream-colored shirt and starts by swaying his hips before lightly tapping both women on the waist, then dancing his way toward the camera.

One fan exclaimed, “What happened to my favorite defender? Is this really the man who once terrified all of Europe?” Meanwhile, another lamented, “We’ve lost another warrior, one of the best center-backs of our generation. It’s sad to see the iron defender becoming so soft and fragile like this.”

It’s worth noting that Ramos married Rubio, a well-known Spanish television presenter, in 2019. The couple began dating in 2012 and now share four sons together.
