The Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is drawing attention from fans as he steps into the world of martial arts.
After the achievements he has collected on the football pitch, Cristiano Ronaldo — the forward currently playing for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League — has now become a shareholder of WOW FC, a Spanish MMA promotion represented by UFC champion Ilia Topuria.
“I’m very excited to share some fantastic news: I will be joining WOW FC as a shareholder! We share values that I deeply believe in — discipline, respect, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of excellence,” said the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
UFC champion Ilia Topuria also congratulated Ronaldo on the new partnership and emphasized the former Real Madrid striker’s importance to the promotion’s expansion. “Cristiano Ronaldo joining WOW FC as a shareholder is a major milestone for this organization. He represents the highest standards of professionalism, hard work, and global excellence. Together, we will take MMA to a new level and inspire athletes and fans around the world to believe that anything is possible,” the UFC champion said.

In another development, Ronaldo gifted his Portugal national team teammates personalized watches from the luxury brand Jacob & Co. to celebrate their UEFA Nations League title in June 2025. The limited edition of 35 watches features an exclusive design, with the dial showcasing the Portuguese flag and national coat of arms.
