Jennifer Lopez may have nailed her Glambot pose, but that didn’t stop critics from accusing her of being rude to Glambot director Cole Walliser.

Now, Walliser is setting the record straight about the “I’m Real” singer’s behavior.

As the clip circulated online, some viewers questioned whether Lopez, 56, had been dismissive during the exchange

Holly Robinson Peete wrote, “You’re so kind! People always look forward to interfacing with you. Not everybody is super friendly though. Did she even say hello?”

Walliser shut down claims that Lopez was “rude” to him during her Glambot moment at the 2026 Golden Globes.

“There was only one other person besides J. Lo in that conversation, and that person was me,” Walliser began in an Instagram Reel he shared on Sunday, January 18.

“The first thing to know about doing Glambots is that Glambots are completely elective. No one is forcing you to do it. If you want to do it, you can. If you have a bad attitude about it, you don’t have to do it.”

He added that red carpets in general are typically chaotic and a lot of the time, celebrities aren’t even aware of what they’re walking up to with the Glambot. They’re simply being ushered from place to place.

“Even with J.Lo, like, I didn’t take it personally. It didn’t feel rude in that moment,” Walliser continued. “I think there’s a couple things that added to the fuel of this idea.

One, she’s just down to business. The carpet was closed. She’s ready to go inside. She knew what she was gonna do. She got into the position

The position for the Hustlers star to start off her Glambot moment required her to have her back facing Walliser. While fans thought she was being rude, Walliser said he in no way took it personally.

I knew she was getting ready. I knew it was late. We were just getting through it. That moment didn’t feel rude,” he explained.
Fans applauded his reaction and several chimed in in the comments section.

“You are such a professional!” wrote one person. “And this is the right mindset to have, never take things personally especially at manic events like red carpets.”

Another added, “Get it Cole! Always a class act.”

However, not everyone was convinced and some continued to criticize Lopez.

As someone who’s been on those carpets plenty of times (I’m not jlo famous by any means lol) she was RUDE,” wrote a separate commenter.

“That was not okay to not acknowledge you. It takes 2 seconds to be kind, and every celebrity knows that like it or not, these events are filled with human interactions and no matter HOW stressful the day was, it’s always important to be kind.”
