Patrick Mahomes talked about the quiet moments he gets while driving, and he ended up surprising fans.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback said he doesn’t listen to any one artist in the car, even though many people now connect him to Taylor Swift, especially after his comment about Taylor Swift’s new album. He shared this during an interview on 96.5 The Fan, where he discussed his routine and the small amount of alone time he has.

Mahomes said he values the little free time he gets, and those car rides help him relax. He explained that he usually just hits shuffle. He doesn’t follow a set playlist unless it’s game day, and he doesn’t rely on one favorite artist at all.

“There’s times where I’m listening to music, and I’m a guy that just goes to my songs and just hits shuffle,” Mahomes said. “I don’t have a ton of like, playlists, except for game day. So I just want to, I just listen to old music, new music, whatever that is.”

“Sometimes those car rides are so, like you said, are like, sacred to me,” Mahomes said. “I hate being on the phone.”

“Sometimes those car rides are so, like you said, are like, sacred to me,” Mahomes said. “I hate being on the phone.”

He also mixes in comedy podcasts whenever he needs a break. Keeping them light helps him relax during the drive. When it comes to phone calls, he only picks up if it’s something important for work.

The conversation shifted when he talked about his kids. That is where his emotion changed. Mahomes said his favorite car moments involve Sterling, Bronze, and Golden.

“But my favorite is when I ride around with my kids and we play I Spy and stuff like that,” he said. “And so those are the times that I’ll remember the rest of my life.”

Although people are still debating Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes’ friendship during all the political drama, but Mahomes didn’t get into any of that. He focused on his game, family and obviously the me time he enjoys the most.
